The Safada Bloom

THE CONCEPT A neo-symbolist exploration of identity and dionysian pleasure. The Safada Bloom (isilla-the-ecstasy-safada-tension-psychological-art.jpg) centers on the reclamation of the Portuguese term Safada. Once a word used to shame, it is here presented as a sovereign state of being—brazen, untamed, and unapologetic. The grapes, traditional symbols of ecstasy and fertility, create a biological veil that celebrates the fruit of desire. It is a work on the luxury of being oneself and the reclamation of our own narratives through the skin.
